Marina Richter

Marina Richter was born on 21 June 1962 in Moscow where she later attended the French lyceum and a secondary decorative art school, studying miniatures and icons.

In 1983 she moved to Prague, where she has lived ever since. In 1990, she completed studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, specialising in illustration and graphic art.

Marina Richter has illustrated several books including a remarkable set of prints illustrating King Lear. She is also well-known for her ex libris prints.

The artist's works can be found in art collections in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan and Russia.
