Joseph Goldyne has had numerous solo exhibitions in Jerusalem, London, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. His work is found in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C. and the New York Public Library.

In describing his work for their one man retrospective of his work, the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, D.C. described Goldyne as a master of the intaglio techniques of etching, drypoint and aquatint:
